Gaz6002
No chance. That much torque will kill an auto box within minutes of driving full boost.

greyhound
@Scott M, what is different in the us gearbox??
Scott
@Scott M, what is different in the us gearbox?? Nothing bud, the rollers in the US are known to overread by quite some way compared to over here in the UK. It basically works out that whatever RWHP figure is quoted from a US dyno converts to FWHP on a UK dyno. Example, with full BPU a UK car will make approx 400-430FWHP. A US car with exactly the same mods will make 400-430RWHP on the US dyno's.
greyhound
OK, what is the best way to push 500 HP? single T61 or upgrade ..... ?
Gaz6002
My T61 with stock cams and rev limit made 512bhp a few weeks back, although that's at the flywheel over here in the land of small HP cars
tooquicktostop
My autobox destroyed itself at 1.5 BAR on a T04R (550BHP fly), it just can't take it, you need an uprated auto or the stock 6 speed
Kopite
OK, what is the best way to push 500 HP? single T61 or upgrade ..... ? GT35R is quite liked for 500bhp, not WHP though
Scott
GT35R is quite liked for 500bhp, not WHP though Will equate to approx 500rwhp with the fuel and on the US dyno though.

Scott
You've been a member on here for 4 years and thats news to you? RWHP to FWHP isn't an exact science but its pretty damn close. Check out all US sites regarding BPU and check out the figures they quote. Check out supraforums with similar spec to any cars in the UK and compare the figures. Works out pretty neatly. Sorry it was late and i couldn't figure out what you meant at the time. Never bothered to compare US wheel HP to our flywheel HP directly, just always observed that US dynos where all made in Texas:eyebrows:
Krister
I drove my single at 1.4 bar with the stock auto for 2-3 months and it worked fine. If you keep the stock TRAC working that closes the TB during shifts, I'm sure it will last a while but it will break eventually.
