what is different in the us gearbox??

 

Nothing bud, the rollers in the US are known to overread by quite some way compared to over here in the UK.

 

It basically works out that whatever RWHP figure is quoted from a US dyno converts to FWHP on a UK dyno.

 

Example, with full BPU a UK car will make approx 400-430FWHP. A US car with exactly the same mods will make 400-430RWHP on the US dyno's.

RWHP to FWHP isn't an exact science but its pretty damn close. Check out all US sites regarding BPU and check out the figures they quote. Check out supraforums with similar spec to any cars in the UK and compare the figures. Works out pretty neatly.

Sorry it was late and i couldn't figure out what you meant at the time.

 

Never bothered to compare US wheel HP to our flywheel HP directly, just always observed that US dynos where all made in Texas:eyebrows:
