Kirk
ok why is it everytime a bit of white rain touches the ground everyone goes into panic mode and forget how to drive?? its the most ANNOYING thing, some people become more of a hazard than the snow by acting like the minute they touch the go pedal there goings to skid, tip over and burst into flames! JUST DRIVE THE DAMN CAR!!!! : rant over

Kirk
I'm waiting to see your next thread - "Killed my Supe while driving in snow." yes ofcourse when its off road i dont struggle driving in the snow, i quite enjoy it actualy and have the confidence to do so. Hell if i had a set of snow tyres id have a go. Aslong as you know how to deal with situations without panic then i dont see the problem. It just realy annoys me the minute theres a tiny layer of snow across the road which soon melts everyone goes into manic mode! I'm not looking forward to my trek to work tommorow, down and up several steep hills that never get gritted. I'm scared. unlucky! thankfully there isnt that many hills round here so i dont have that sort of problem think im going to call in sick tomorrow if the weather is bad, not worth crashing the supra for a days work that would be a good idea otherwise id be hunting you down and crashing something into your nuts

JUST DRIVE THE DAMN CAR!!!! : rant over I was just driving the damn car just yesterday, coming back from the school run. I was driving sensibly as kids on board, residential area and a bit of snow on the ground. As I braked nice and early and gently down a hill to turn right, the car kept on going. Took my foot off and tried again. Ok it stopped and I managed to turn. This was at around 15 - 20 mph...in a 1.2 Punto Where do I fit into your rant? pistonbroke
I see the complete opposite round my way. People don't change their driving style at all. My road was sheet ice this morning, didn't stop idiots doinf 40mph down it then smashing into curbs at the bottom. I stood and smoked two cigarettes while watching the show unfold. Tricky-Ricky
I never drive mine in snow, i would rather have an intact car than brag, i have driven other cars in snow but as they have either been an old RWD pickup, lethal with no weight in the back, or other wide tyred RWD, which might as well have no steering wheel. CardiffSupra
I always get worried in the snow, The Mustang is parked on a hill and a few cars have been hit over the years as they think it's ok to go normal speeds in snow and ice, Idiots. Abz
In London we have a lot of drivers...most of them idiots. They seem to think just because the grittier has been out the night before all the ice has melted & drive round as if it is a normal day! Then slam the brakes to bumped into the car in front & crash into parked cars & have a surprised look on their face as if someone sabotage their car! Hobgoblin
If I still had my Supra, I would be scared to drive in the snow, but I now have a Mitsi Legnum (4WD) so I look forward to a bit of sideways fun. Still waiting for snow in Herefordshire though.
far
In London we have a lot of drivers...most of them idiots. QUOTE] In london we have the most amount of foreigners compared to any other place in the UK which means people driving about on non uk licences, a lot from warmer countries who have no experience of the white stuff The two year rule sucks - you can come from some village in where there are about 10 cars and more horses and drive in central london with no further coaching:(

dangerous brain
Landrover discovery with 37" mud terrain tyres and rock sliders/bull bars all over it. If my uber grippy tyres do lose grip (I've driven on pack ice and not lost traction even in emergency braking situations) its whatever I run into thats got to worry not me
