Mobile phone contracts

Is it just me or has the price of mobile phone contracts gone up ridiculously withing the last year? 02 and Orange seem to be the worst, with thier tariffs costing at least £5 per month more than they used to, and they all seem to be for 18-24 months rather than 12-18.

Can any of you guys recommend a good well priced contract on either 02 or Orange. Will need approx 700+ texts per month and preferably 200+ minutes. Would prefer it with a Blackberry phone and for 18 months. Thanks.

i pay about £50 a month on Orange, i get unlimited texts, about 1000 minutes of calls, 500mb internet, Sat Nav and magic numbers.

it's more than i'd like to pay but i know that my bill is never going to be more than £50 and i don't need to use the house phone either.

14 months ago I got a Nokia N96 (was top of the range back then, and had only just been released) with 600 free minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited wi fi on an 18 month contract with 02 for £35 a month.
