michael
Try Christmas with no family because they are all dead, it might make you think back to those times of "grief".

Chris Wilson
Try Christmas with no family because they are all dead, it might make you think back to those times of "grief". Noticed today that the soil has subsided on my mother's grave, they can still cause grief after they are gone
Chewie
It's the best time for a bust up. About 5 of my mates got divorced over some domestic that started around Crimbo. Conversely I seem to get off with more girlies around the seasonal fester-tivities.

Chris Wilson
Sadly `er indoors bust ups are not just seasonally or festively related, they can, and often do, occur daily. I do agree Christmas is a dire time. No one wants to work, deliver or fix anything, people you often frankly despise come and visit with implausible and sometimes downright risible platitudes, bearing begrudged gifts. You have to write a last minute card and rush to the Post Office because someone you barely know decides he's got a stamp left over and you are the unexpected lucky recipient of a last minute paper greeting. Usually mentally sound men decide to become "singers" behind a microphone down the pub, or dance "wickedly" with some bint they have to work with the rest of the year, then disappear from social activities for weeks in shameful embarrassment , just when you need to speak to them about something important. Casual callers come round asking for money to support over sexually active foreigners who need contraception, not constipation from parcels of our junk food. The bell ringers are even more active and discordant than normal. You daren't drive anywhere in case you are one point over the limit from the argument inducing *iss up the night before. To a professional miserable git it's heaven when mid January comes around.

The Raven
Well i for one enjoy xmas with the family, more so now i have a little one. However being stuck in the house for 24 hours of food drink and crap tv is enough to push anyone over the edge. Good job i live next door and can retreat to play COD MW2
