SupraRider
Hey guys, How do you protect your car from stone chipping? Heard of this Venture Shield protection but I think its very costly to do. Any suggestions?

Geo
You will always get the odd stone chip or two bud, just be glad you dont have a black car, as it 10x worse.
SupraRider
thanks for comforting.... guess I just want to prolong the bodywork for as long as I can. just called up an installer to add Venture Shield protection and its going to cost me £1K! thats halfway to my TT conversion... maybe I'll just get Simon to touch up the bits and pieces after conversion. jimojameso
Be cheaper just to get your front bumper resprayed every 12 months matey. We all get them. Just take it on the chin!
SupraRider
[COOL][/COOL] sure... I'll try! It just looks really bad if you try exhibiting your car at a show stand with people getting close up to notice all those white marks all over your bumper or even die trying to touch it up with the tiniest paint brush you can find! Wow that is expensive, especially if its just the front. How about this site? Just one that I found: http://www.chipguard.com/search.asp?make=Toyota&model=Supra&submodel=&year=&Submit=Go I am sure you will find stuff in eBay, though depends do you want someone to put this stuff on for you... Or are you willing to buy the plastic stuff and fit it on yourself? You can buy sprays which harden the paint, but if its a big enough or sharp enough stone... you will get stone chips no matter what.
Thorin
Leave the car in the garage or don't drive on stones.

Abz
no its not just for the front bumper, its for the whole bodywork on the car. Don't think you can get whole body ones? I am pretty sure most companies do just the area which are effected mostly like front, sides\intakes. If you want to do the whole lot then you are looking at some of this spray stuff which I remember reading on pistonheads. It is not cheap mind as it is practicality respraying the whole car. DSK
Best advice, don't drive too close to the car in front, especially on motorways. I do this but it always results in idiots consistently tailgaiting and pulling out into your space
