Matt H
Since Sunday I've been tried to get hold of 02 as my contract is coming to an end an I'm up for renewal. I've tried early in the morning, mid morning, afternoon and night and no one has answered the phone to me yet! Bloody annoying being on hold at the best of times... grrr Anyone work for 02 that knows what's going on? Is it always like this at Crimbo? ManwithSupra
O2 Customer Service has got worse and worse over the years (i have been a customer when they first renamed to O2) I am leaving them when my contract expires, when I phoned them last to find out when my contract is going to expire I had the most pretentious rude person I have honestly ever spoken to, which confirmed in my mind that I don’t want to be a customer of theirs. AndyT
Do any phone companies give good customer service these days? I was thinking of switching to O2 from Vodafone next year. Trouble is these two have the best coverage especially the Scottish west coast. Oh well.

Trouble is these two have the best coverage especially the Scottish west coast. Oh well. I'm not bothered who I'm with as long as the price is right and the coverage is good. The only network I'd 100% never go back to is '3', as my phone hardly ever got any signal where I lived. I phoned up to complain and after they did a check on my postcode they said "I see it's pretty good reception in that area". Considering I had to phone from my landline as my mob had no signal, I wasn't very happy about that! I's day orange were the best network but they are the most pricey, then 02. Voda were ok, but again I've had some coverage problems with them.
Abz
Never had any problems with T-mobile, customer service is brilliant! Both in store & on phone, think you should be able to get good reception in Cheshire as well with T-mobile. They do a decent range of phones and bloody good deals. thebluefox
I've jumped ship from O2 not long ago, I know that last week that had major problems with their systems, and basically couldn't function for a week as they messed up a system update. As far as I know though, they were back working on Friday. I'm with Orange now, and can only say good things about their customer service and their coverage. They've also got much better handsets on offer compared to O2.
Abz
They've also got much better handsets on offer compared to O2. They only got the iPhone now... or otherwise it was a selection of the run of the mill Nokia's.

That's one network I've never been with. I'd be scarred to try with the typical 24 month contracts that these companies want nowadays for a decent phone. I do live in a bizare area for all things 'utility'. Just got 20mb BT broadband and recieve only 2.5mb - funny thing is that's a dream for me, and much better than the 0mb I was getting with Talk Talk mind! I thought they were all pretty much on all networks bar the Iphone (until recently), and the '3' specialist phones.

Yep they normally have 18 month contracts but they normally do decent deals. Also they have all these Flextimes which seem to be greatly priced as well. I've been to Cherise and if I remember my phone worked fine. Might be worth asking friends if they have Tmobile in the area and find out what reception is like. Maybe a club member living in Chesire on Tmobile could confirm? Don't even get me started with Broadband... I live 5 minutes away from Canary Wharf in London on the Isle Of Dogs. I only get a 1MB link and I only live 3 miles away from the exchange! Though my friend who lives across the road from me gets a 5MB link! supra_aero
Normally calling them up acting as if you are new customer wanting to buy normally gets you through. Cancellation/upgrades numbers can be very bad for a lot of companies.

Matt H
Finally got through at 20.5 mins. top and tail I've asked for my pac code. I currently get 40% discount on my phone bill of £45, which is just under £30 per month. I said that I'm happy to stay with 02 at that price... what can you do about a new phone. They said they can't keep the 40% discount on. I said "so what's the next best......" "Fiver off". "Pac code please!"

Also ive finally got sorted certificates needed to sign programs for installation. Ive installed a program which displays txt messages like the iphone in a feed so can see the conversation. Also program called rotate me which stops the auto rotate all time and another which allows you to unlock by sliding finger on screen like iphone rather then the button and finally Opera mobiel browser....bit by bit im getting there. I wanted an iphone for the apps but the camera on this is just too good.

I wasn't too happy but then I read that 02's unlimited was subject to a fair use policy of 750mb per month, so 500mb has to be pretty close to unlimited?
