I've got around 8 Spectrums, few different versions too. Fantastic machines those were, miles ahead of their time.

I played paperboy till I had blisters lol. Oh, and Bruce Lee, IK+, 180 darts etc. Fantastic fun. Might pull one of them down sometime.

I'm going all misty-eyed with all this nostalgia! :) As a family we had a BBC Micro. I remember waiting around 5 mins for games to load via tape. "Revs" was a particular favourite of mine, a driving simulator. Basic graphics, but spot-on physics. Impressive bearing in mind the hardware constraints the programmers were working under.

Best of the series, I had to use a multiface 3 to finish it and get all the coins though. If you know what a multiface 3 is you really are old school :D

If your interested in the older 8bit / 16bit stuff its well worth getting an original modified X-Box and filling it full of emulators and roms, monty mole on a x-box pad and flat screen TV is cool

Hmm. I've looked into getting a BBC emulator for the PS2: I found one but the PS2 needs to be physically modified somehow, something I'm not keen on doing.

Got me there, this (and amiga power) were amazing! I think they did gravity force 2 first but power had more options? been a while.

Random fact, the sound of the ships crashing into each other in that was made by someone hitting a 4 way extention cord against a radiator :D

Just realised the amiga had a very good version of midnight resistance also.
