stevie_b
Does anyone have any PC2700 DDR RAM lying around that they don't want anymore? I'd buy new RAM except this is only for a short-term project, and I've had bad experiences buying used RAM from ebay. More specifically, the spec I'm after is: PC2700 (333MHz) DDR 184 pin Non-ECC Unbuffered 2.5V CL2.5 Ideally 1GB stick(s) (e.g. Kingston KVR333X64C25/1G or Crucial CT12864Z335), but beggers can't be choosers. I can check the specifics if you've got some spare RAM but not sure whether it fits the criteria above. Many thanks, Steve
DamanC
I have lots of 256MB sticks if they are any good to you?
stevie_b
Definitely interested Daman. The PC is currently running XP with only 256MB RAM . From memory I think the motherboard only has 2 RAM slots, so another 256 would double the RAM. How much would you want for, say, a couple of 256MB sticks? DamanC
Just the postage will be fine mate. Just checked - no 2700 stuff but have 3200Mhz if that would be better?
stevie_b
Thanks Daman, that's very kind. Unfortuntely I don't know offhand what the motherboard is, and I don't have easy access to it (it's not at home at the moment). I'll take a punt that PC3200 DDR should work in the mobo, just that it'll be throttled back to PC2700 speeds which is no problem. I'll PM you my details.
