Guest blueangel
On a bit of a downer today, with the bad weather setting in i had worries that the project was gonna fall apart.Good news i found a mate had a great unit which i could use to finish the car in and for free so all was good. Now after relocating my battery i was supposed to be getting the bodywork finished but today my compressor has decieded to die[sAD][/sAD]its only just over a year old. Guest blueangel
It wont turn over the fan spins then it just cuts the reset button out.
SUPRALOOPY
Is it still under pressure? or does it do it when empty. Mine does this every now and then. I let the pressure go and turn it over by hand then reset it and its good for ages after that. Mind you my compressor is getting tired now, is yours belt driven? SUPRALOOPY
Sounds the same as mine. You can turn the motor part by hand there is a flat for a spanner. Sounds like the same prob I have. release the pressure and turn it over a few times by hand then reset the switch. I have come to the conclusion I have a dead spot in the windings and every so often the motor stops on that point, its like roulette LOL
Guest blueangel
Rang SIP this morning and to honest they were very helpfull said basically the same turn it over by hand. They said also that running it on an exstention lead wouldnt help said it might lead to a drop in current and the cold air doesnt help either.
