adnanshah247
OK folks so i moved the supras insurance to my family/temporary car. from a group 20 supra to a group 9 i think, 55 plate, 5 door toyota corolla 1.6vvti. now im 23, 5 years no claims bonus and clean licence!!! i just got a renewal quote for £800 from my insurance company as my insurance runs out on the 1st of January. Obviously fully comp etc. Is my age still bringing me this high quote? what use is my No Claims and my clean license! i was expecting way cheaper than that?! Rant over with, some advice though would be handy!
AndyT
No real advice mate you just gotta age. Gracefully of course. I don't think you start getting real drops until you're around 28. It's been a while since I've had to worry about that.

Lbm
Shop around Adnan Also, check your voluntary excess amount, because if you are prepared to raise it, you should see a reduction in premium.

AndyT
I know how you feel mate. Always protect your no claims though. Too many situations can crop up where you may have to claim. The only thing left is to keep shopping around though. Or start charging for those samosas of yours.

As mentioned above, increasing your voluntary excess could make a huge difference to the quote. http://www.confused.com always get the best (by quite some way) for me. AndyT
On a serious note though, I, and many others, thought it was a great thing you did on the day. Especially following all the trouble you've had. With that kind of commitment in you mate, it won't be long 'til you're up and running again. Abz
You are too young my friend... you live in London... I think you could maybe find a quote a couple of hundred pounds cheaper if you shopped around.

Homer
hummmm thats bad, but i like your thinking It'll at least give you a good idea of what sort of price range to expect. Insurance has gone up a lot in the last year, even on my £400 Mondeo it's risen from £312 to £389 per year, most companies want over £500... The joke is that the bloody supra would be cheaper to insure!
