danny1987
you should fit it your self, I fitted ours my self, they are a pain in the ass to set up if you don’t have a signal finder (which I didn’t) because not only have you got to get the left and right just right you also have to get up and down right as well! But surly as you have fitted it then they can’t charge you an insulation fee!

bignum
Get yourself a sat finder kit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Satfinder-Satellite-Signal-Meter-Sat-Finder-Kit-BNIB_W0QQitemZ270290038129QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ConEle_SatCableFreeview_RL?hash=item3eee8aad71 The general direction is where the sun is at 11;00am,bolt the dish onto a wall facing that making sure there are no tall trees in the way then use your satellite meter to align the dish and bobs your uncle, then if you get stuck post up on here. The Raven
Thats total bullshit mate. They moved mine for free. Im more than happy for you to quote me on that with them too. Seeing as you live all of 10 miles from me they should do it for free to! They will back down they always do

ilicos
Virgin Media tried the same with me. I threatened to go to Sky and managed to get free installation and a free upgrade to Virgin+. Then a week later they sent me a new 12 month contract to sign so i told them I refuse to sign as I am not starting a new contract simply moving home. I didn't send it back and have heard nothing since. Play hard-ball!!!!

SteveC
If you do want Sky in your new house, just ring up and ask for cancellations. When they ask why you're cancelling, just tell them you're moving home and the new place doesn't have a Sky installation - and that you can't afford to have a new dish installed . They'll certainly give you free installation to retain your monthly subscription.
aman00123
as above mate, if you argue you will probs end up getting a reduction in your bill too! I know plenty of people who have threatened to cancel and got like 3-6 months free!
