Chris Wilson
Not being controversial, but if the budget will stretch to adjustable pulleys you might as well get them. It'll be VERY annoying to check cam timing, find it's out, and have no means of resetting it. 2JZ engines with un skimmed heads and blocks and stock, or HKS and JUN cams usually time up on stock pulleys to within a couple of degrees either way. Skyline RB26's on the other hand can be a mile out. On a new block and head I had to shift the timing at least 6 crank degrees to get the timing right. Get steel ones if you can, a lot of aftermarket alloy ones, especially bright coloured wheels, are so soft that tooth wear is a big problem after a while.
