supra matt Posted December 13, 2009 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Hi Guys had this installed about a 2 weeks ago . The problem i have is the cooling fan keeps kicking in when it is switched off ! Jake Posted December 13, 2009 Share Posted December 13, 2009 It can't possibly run the fans when its switched off. You must mean when its in Standby. Is it a new box? On older boxes the fans can get noisy as the bearings get clogged up with dust. I cleaned out the bearings on my noisy Sky+ box with aerosol brake cleaner. It worked pretty well for a few weeks but eventually became noisy again, gradually. You could always power it off to stop it waking you. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
