jazz1
Well few months back i had my car fully serviced by LeeP at SRD. While he was doing the work lee did a compression test and my car came back with odd figures and low compression on 3 cylinders. Anyways seeing as the car was parked and hardly driven for 6 years lee did a leak down test ad my gasket etc was all good leaving it to the valves. Iv been driving the car more and have listened to lee about going on long motorway trips to put my foot down. Iv put in a valve treatment the other week and the car seems to be more nippy and the exhaust seems to sound slightly louder, is that a good sign? Lee P
If the car feels more responsive then hopefully its doing the trick and clearing it out. The car I have at the moment was not so lucky, same as yours. Off the the road for 6 years and only driven on very short journeys. No compression at all on most of the cylinders and wont run at all. Whitesupraboy2
Cars are designed to be driven and run. These engines are designed well within their power limits to run for 100,000 miles + If you don't drive a car for 6 years, corrosion will occur as well as other problems, just drive the thing! (which you've been told before)
Harris25
what valve treatment did you use?
jazz1
I recently put in the liqui moly valve cleaner, thats my mistake i thought by not driving the supra i could keep it mint as possible but it has made things worse. Hopefully fingers crossed driving it more should do more good than bad:) http://a367.yahoofs.com/shopping/mcid13_352295/simg_t_tpp67302001_1jpg110?rm_____DmdBl8n4z

jazz1
Update Lee checked my compression seems all good now but cylinder 5 slightly still low so hopefully more thrashing will clear the valves . Very pleased as last year 4 I think were all very low.

jazz1
I'm pretty sure one was 80/90, 100, 120, I also put something in with my engine oil called auto rx. So the only things that were used since last service and low compression was, Auto rx, http://www.allentrad.co.uk/ Liqui moly valve cleaner Redx. I only done 300 miles Before recent service and lee checked the compression and said it's all fine apart from 5 but nothing major, so hopeful another treatment and more thrashing will clear it .
