tbourner
Is there such a thing as a GPS speedo? I don't really feel the need to get a speed trap detector or anything as I generally stay within the limit and there aren't many cameras around here anyway. But I'd like to know exactly how fast I'm going on the motorway and stuff, especially since I have the km-mph conversion, as well as getting new bigger wheels and tyres, and obviously tyre wear affects it etc. etc. Are there any reasonably priced GPS speedos out there? Jake
Just calibrate your stock speedo with a GPS and a Thor DSC. Job done. No need to carry a GPS once you've done it. Mine is spot on at any speed over 30mph.
michael
In my experience the GPS is only accurate when you are at crusing speed, mine can't keep up under fairly hard acceleration or braking but gives a better idea once you behave yourself
Jake
I agree. And that's another good reason for calibrating your speedo against a GPS.
tbourner
What's a DSC and what does it do?
tbourner
So is the short answer no then? There is no such thing in the world as a dedicated GPS speedometer?
