the event is Pro Kumite and expect the posters will be made up in the next few weeks :)

its a mma and k1 kickboxing event, im doing the k1 kickboxing as i didnt really get on with doing the ju jitsu/ground work side of mma so decied to go for just stand up full contact kickboxing

what is it you do mate? mma, kickboxing?

im excited now let alone on the night!

ive already upped training to 3 times a week and going on runs inbetween want to be on top form!

i did kickboxing when i was a bit younger , but my first "big" fight as an adult was boxing .

i trained like mad leading up to it , i stoped the other guy who had 6 fights in the first round so i was extatic,

the best advice i can give is enjoy it and express yourself. and see everybody you hate on the other side of the ring ;)

Good luck, what weight class are you fighting in?

75kgs, which i think is welterweight

i used to box but then joined a cage fighting club. just felt so unnatural on the floor so decided to stick to my roots and go for kick boxing. feel much more comfy

i was boxing for about 6 months and been doing kickboxing about 3 months so its all been a bit quick but when i was younger i done karate fr 5 yrs as my dad was a instructor so its always been in my blood thats why it hasnt taken me long to be put into a fight

thats whats surprised my instructor as i have fast powerful hands thats why i was moved into the fight team training sessions then asked to fight :)

im fairly controlled but do have a big of a aggression problem but usually is to my advantage

ive been 75kgs for over a year :) just hope i dont gain to much muscle and put on weight with all the extra training

my instructor has a fight coming up and he was 110, and thats what he has to fight at, so he cut to 90 to loose fat and then bulk up to weight with just muscle but he is now struggling to make 100! and his opponent now wants to up to 120 which i cant see happening

mcds every meal be fine lol

Cheers for the support guys. Like i said closer to the time i can give time details and the like. My diet is pretty much the same every day. Corn flakes or bran flakes for breaky, my packed lunch is 2chicken rolls made from home, apple and bag of fruit flakes. Then just a cooked tea. I do kickboxing 2/3 times a week and now tryin to do a fast mile run every day or cardio punch bag work.

UFC is ok just gone a bit commercialised and taken the martial arts out of it. Like i said my fight is full contact kickboxing so not the mma ground work, but the other 3 from my club whos fighting as well are doing mma. I done it for a bit but just didnt feel natural on the ground with submissions ect as ive always done stand up fighting. So i just train doin kickboxing and muai thai.
