RobD
Just had my renewal delivered today, its gone from £214 a month down to £180, but I had it down that I do 10k a year in it which I've only done 3k off, so I've knocked the annual mileage down aswell which made it out to £166 a month I know this may seem high to most but I was paying more than that for a 1.4 Peugeot 306 when I first started so I dont mind it so much paying that sort of price for something that actually moves I'm still going to shop around for a cheaper price though Just thought i'd share my delight, if it wasnt going down by much then I was considering selling it! Abz
Dude that is a lot, I am paying £78 a month for my TT! I know some are paying less but still your young so I know it is going to be high! I paid £1800 a year for my 1.6 Civic when I was 18! how many years no claim bonus do you have? Any convictions? I think if you phoned around a bit & spent half a day on getting quotes you could beat that and come closer to £120 - £140 a month!

clarky666
Whats your age and circumstances mate? I read that at first and was about to say it's an amazing price for a year, then re-read it over and almost spat out my lucozade. That is a lot of money. RobD
I'm 22 bud. I know its alot but the way i see it, no other car can put a smile on my face the way my car does when i press the go pedal Theres quite alot of crime in my neighbourhood aswell so no doubt that bumps it up! That price is also with a grand excess and my mum on the policy as a named driver! I'm going to look through quotes when i get the money together for another deposit! Thats over 10 months also not the normal 12!
mike_mcevoy
fook me that's a lot, I just renewed by in october and for the year it was only about £250 for a TT. I know you are younger than me but thats a lot to fork out a year
Abz
We do have to remember these are Insurance Group 20 cars so... Snooze
That's an insane amount to spend on insurance. If you don't mind me asking, do you still live with your parents?
RobD
Would that make a difference to insurance? My mum and dad live in yarmouth and i'm in cambridge!
Snooze
Nah - I was just wondering how you afford it - I'd never have been able to spend that much cash out at your age. Good job!

RobD
I think they are group 16, I suppose a jump from a group 6 which my last car was to a group 16 is pretty horrific in insurance companys eyes though for my age! Fekk em!

RobD
I honestly dont think its that bad, 166 a month for 10 months so 1660 a year with APR on top! I'm still going to shop around but if I can't find cheaper i wont complain, its nearly 50 cheaper a month than last year so thats covered my petrol each month!
