michael
Do any of you have experience of taking alloys to a scrap place? I have a set of old Impreza alloys that I don't want anymore but don't want to just chuck them out - is there any value in them? The wheels in question are like these ones... http://www.megaboost.co.uk/legacy/legacy-22.jpg (Apologies for posting pics of such a sexy machine outside of NWS) I'd be happy enough with a few quid per wheel, is that expecting too much? michael
I can't be bothered, the sort of people who buy wheels like this aren't the sort of people I want at my house
keron
i scrapped a load last week. 17" and 18", damaged ones etc...i got about £6 per wheel (from a middle man) so you might get more if you take them to a scrap alloy merchant direct? michael
That's a bit more than I expected, I'll ring the local chap who advertises around these parts and see what he can offer
RobSheffield
A friend of mine buys wheels to sell on, and will likely collect. Ill mention that you have them
michael
I'm not sure how straight they are but he's welcome to them for next to nowt. I have a set of steel wheels for the same Legacy with almost brand new "last forever super hard compound" tyres too if he wants those. Ibrar Jabbar
All depends on the weight, I guess anything between £4 - £6.
n boost
So in this case, i suppose the heavier the better..............fecking lightweight alloys!
michael
Indeed, I sold it with some different ones on, they were much heavier. http://www.megaboost.co.uk/legacy/legacy-08.jpg (BTW: This is the one the police bought off me and everyone thought I was being scammed)
