hi all i have read about this all over the net and my question is where is no1 speed sensor in the dash board i know no2 is on the gearbox i found diagrams which say speed sensor no1 combination meter v10 .now this is where i get confused to where it is .is it the odometer with the trip or is it the speedo it self or am i looking for a box somewhere in the dash ,as i have this code 42 the car has no converter on it and it clocks up in km and my speedo has a 115 dail face on and is limited .so could you fine people help me in finding this no.1 speed sensor

Both sensors are on the gearbox, I'm not 100% sure if the auto gearbox car has 2 sensors and the manual 1.

I would be looking for a bad connection at the sensors, multiplug connectors at the speedo and the ecu. Unplugging them and making sure they plug in okay and make a good connection.

 

 

With the pdf files above, at the top you can search for specific words like "speed sensor" , click find next and it will take you right through the manual where it's found the words you searched for.

 

Do a search in the diagnostics section in the main manual below, I've just started searching like this, it's a very useful function as the workshop manual is absolutely huge.

thanks for the links mine is a manual and i think it only has one speed sensor on the box im looking for the one some where in the dash between the odometer and the speedo but il have alook through the links to see if shows me anything .thanks again
