Westcoaster
I'm Scottish, I don't give a XXXX about what my passport says! As far as I'm concerned you become Scottish if you've lived there for 5+ years and you can pronounce Auchtermuchty properly!
Lbm
Remember though, it's not where you're from, it's where you're going - and when you get there, will there be facilities?
Chewie
I was talking to someone today and he tells me that he is a Greek Australian. I ask him how that works and he says he was born in Greece but has lived in Australia since he was a child. So I say, "therefore you are Greek"? "No", says he, "I'm a Greek Aussie". Anyway your mate didn't say which part of Greece. Was he Macedonian, Thracian, Aegean, Ionian or even a Spartan and you know what they're like at a party.[sHOCK][/sHOCK]

Max Headroom
I consider myself British as it reflects the varied different places my family and ancestors originate from. My mothers family originated from German stock, fleeing Germany through Ireland and settling in the Liverpool area. On my fathers side we originated from the Devon and Cornwall area and have a history steeped in military tradition. Famous members of the family My great uncle Danny Shone played for Liverpool and my great great great grandfather commanded a battleship in the American Civil War for the British. Soop Dogg
I'd say English. Not British as there is nothing Scotish, Irish or Welsh about me... I would expect that at least some Irish would object to you associating them with being British! The Republic of Ireland has it's own government, uses the Euro etc etc. It's not part of the United Kingdom. (Northern Ireland is, but that's a whole other story...)
