JustGav
Hmmm, seems crazy not to put those bits on really.... I would you be looking at around 2 days worth of labour there, which I'm sure is do-able by someone.... Gav

Dash Rendar
You could finance the Supe by charging at the door for the world's biggest house-warming. £5 for members... Of which there are 3017 of us. And £10 for non-members (you know... friends and family who don't have the sense to have a Supra and become a member of this fine community). Nic
Get rid of the bloody cam and accesory belt pulleys! Agree, sell cams, pulleys and clear cover and fit CF or alu cover instead. If you fit the turbos you'll need most of the other bits to support them, so really the question is go hybrid or not? Edit: wrong turbos!! Supragal
Shut it Digsy, they're gorgeous!! Selling those 3 things is pointless, they're worth comparitively sod all. Not interested in going single TBH I like twins. But this is the other side of the coin. I won't be in the realms of competing with the big single cars so whats the point? I may as well leave the engine bpu'd and worry about the kit Okaaay edited in response to Nics edit Yes that is basically it, hybrids or not. Maybe I should stick BPU and just get some bling. But then it's more like a show and shine car which isn't really me God damn I've talked myself round about 5 times this evening.

michael
Sell the car.
SkyJawa
Tough choice I know! I've got a T61 BL Single kit to source ... I can either move to Guildford and drive the car till it eventually goes Pete Tong. Or get the Vortex boys to plant a T61 in there, sort the fueling out, map it. . Thats not a tough choice! Guildford is SHITE, spend it on the car
Digsy
Shut it Digsy, they're gorgeous!! Selling those 3 things is pointless, they're worth comparitively sod all. That's me told, then. Well, if you can't afford to do both at once, how about borrowing the cash to finish the car but trying to pay it back ASAP by living like a nun for a few years, if necessary? What about (and I don't want any comeback from Matt on this ) adding it to the mortgage? It sounds like you can't do both without borrowing, but how big will the problems be if you choose to borrow? But then it's more like a show and shine car which isn't really me God damn I've talked myself round about 5 times this evening. If it was me I'd sell the hybrids, cams, pulleys, clear cover, field harness (useful but v expensive.) Fit stock j-spec turbos, CF cover and everything else on the list. Once e-manage and rest of remaining parts are installed you are going to have a car with around or maybe more than 400hp, which is far from show and shine. My car is similar performance spec (with addition of cams/pulleys, slightly bigger injectors) and made estimated 429.5hp at crank. You'll certaining feel quite a performance difference over stock, especially as you've not driven it for a couple of years!
Supragal
Maybe you're not far off Nic. Out of interest how much is the field harness? I couldn't find it on any traders sites with a price? I need to have it rolling roaded really but I wouldn't be suprised if it's knocking on 380/400bhp now. It was tuned a fair bit in Japan and was by far the quickest I test drove when I was looking. FMIC, toughy, thats one of the "worth more" bits. Plus it means cutting the bumper [/lazy]

I just don't know what my outgoings are going to be until we're actually moved in and getting bills. I'm erring on the side of caution though and with the horse being sick this year it's been a damn expensive one... the other option is to sell parts of the cinema but I HATE downgrading anything... I could just manage it all perhaps but all it would take would be for something to go bang with the supe, or the horse to create some stupid disease or something in the house to break and then I'm be stuffed. I'd definitely keep the FMIC, what's the alternative a 10year old stock IC?
Supragal
One of the CW side mount ones I guess? £220 for the copy... so thats cheaper than the original then, right? Can't remember what I paid for mine as it was with a load of other stuff.

Ian C
I'd plonk in the FMIC as a show car has *gotta* have one. You've got that Fcon already installed, so keep that in, bung on the cheapo decat pipes, put in the fuel pump for safety sake (that's cheapo too), and plonk on the blings caps and pulleys and stuff. A good clean of the bay, tadaaa, show car And you can sell the proper bits for good cash. how's that for a compromise? -Ian

Supragal
Ian- thats pretty much where I am right now... although the bumper will be meshed so FMIC may not be all that visible anyway... dunno. "proper" bits. Cheeky bugger
RedM
Keep the car. If you get rid of it and someone else turned up at meets with it, it would just be wrong.
