Paul Whiffin
Does it go to a box to the left(looking from the front) of the brake servo?
lippy
the cable that goes to left of brake servo is the throttle cable isnt it?the other cable disappears down towards rear of autobox but cant see exactly where.took car to a transmission specialist but they guessed it was kickdown.but i thought kickdown was a switch not a cable.the reason im looking into this is because when i engage r or d when engine is cold (but idle has steadied at 750ish)it engages with quite a violent jolt.after a good run it engages a lot smoother.took it to another transmission specialist and they thought it my be a kickdown problem and they fiddled with this cable.i got impression that it foxed them! Ian C
I think posting up a couple of pics will serve the job of well over 1,000 words in this case
