Electrical problems

I had never owned a Supra but I recently purchased a 1993 Japanese spec RHD TT. The sale of this car is a long story involving a well-running Supra, then an owner who moved before he could sell it, then a bad "friend" that didn't keep up with the car (it was parked without running for several months). Part of the damage was that someone apparently tried to jumpstart the car (the battery was dead) but hooked up the wrong poles. This blew the 120 Amp fuse, which I replaced. The car still doesn't run, though. I took it to the dealership and they haven't figured out what is wrong... yet. They have had it for 4 days now. The latest word is that "the ECU is burned" (a German in broken English) and he doesn't have any IDEA how much it would cost to replace... For further clarification he told me it was the main computer...

Anybody out there know what the price or part number could be for that? Any other ideas as to what might be causing these problems if that seems a little unreasonable?

Thanks for your help... attached is the car.

I would think it would be more likely the igniter pack because that seems to be the most common issue with jump starting problems.

As mentioned you'd be better of buying second hand parts from here, check the wiring to the alarm/immobiliser aswell, make sure no fuses have blown there, it could be that the ignition/fuel is immobilised.

The ecu part numbers will be different depending on whether your car is auto or manual transmission i think.

Just thought I would send an update... after ordering the ignitor by part number on ebay, waiting for it to arrive, paying import taxes, and installation,... I finally have a working Supra!!!

Note- for anyone who jumps their car wrong- you need to replace your ignitor, and possible the 120 Amp fuse.
