MarkR
Hi chaps, After my 6 speed conversion I have the tiptronic gearbox for sale. This was rebuilt by Jemca Toyota in Bromley about 2 years ago at a cost of £2k !!! If I'd known at the time they'd charge that much I'd have just gone manual back then. The box is mechanically sound and has roughly 3000 miles since the rebuild and had about 44000km and 20000 miles on it before the build. The box was rebuilt when I went BPU so the first batch of miles was done at stock power and the last 3000 at BPU. Pickup only No pics as I'm not going to be on site to take any. It's a gearbox. Nothing more to say. £

jackso11
How many gears is this tiptronic? Will it go straight onto an auto? Is it still a 4 speed auto with tiptronic selection? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick. If it will go on an auto I am very interested....first dibs please
MarkR
4 gears, and has the same gearbox code as the auto. I have no idea if it goes straight on though. I'm sure if you popped a post in technical someone will know. Dude from AFR might know.

MarkR
hmmm, too much work for the conversion I am afraid. I am out I thought you just wanted the box and not an entire conversion. Yup, there's way too much work to convert a normal pre vvti supra to Tiptronic. You've got ECU, looms, steering wheel etc etc etc.. The box should be good for a normal auto replacement though. MarkR
Just to add. The gearbox is the same as the auto box. The tiptronic stuff is done at ECU level.
Branners
If I had the space I would buy that as a spare. Thats pretty cheap. Good luck with the sale. If you get desperate to shift it then let me know, but Im sure somebody else will snap it up.
