Guest ravi
we installed misimoto radiator and rad cap and after market fans still overheating when driving long periods ( 45mins) and i smell alot of burnt oil. i dont over heat in traffic the radiator hose both top and bottom are not clogged and there is no air lock in the system there is a crackling noise under the turbos an a lot of steam at the rear of the engine. i thinking either waterpump thermostat (after i remove do i have to replace since i like in the caribbean) or even head gasket ( not seeing an bubbles when the car idling so doubt it) i used proper weighted amsoil oil and i dont have an oil cooler only running 15 psi right now which is stock .. on the brighter side i beat ths fuk out of a ninja this morning.. and yes he was trying to race me,,, i crushed him... felt great(best birthday gift ever).. cant wait to get this problem solved and run my single turbo setup:) Any positive suggestions would be widely appreciated :
nigelboyne
is the car loosing coolant could be just a air lock

Dave17
So you're car is not right and you are racing motorbikes in it. Prime example why ownership should be limited to people who actually care about cars.

absz
If you are getting a lot of steam on the rear of engine, then the first thing to check is the heater hose that goes on top of the cylinder head at the rear, they do go hard and brittle over time. Good call. If you have steam then you have a leak somewhere.
JODY T
Good call. If you have steam then you have a leak somewhere. yeah but with that problem, it would only overheat when the water runs low.. top it back up and it would be okay untill it leaked out.. Better info is required from the op to help sort his problem in my opinion
