CJ
Apologies if this is old hat to some of you but as I work 7 nights a week during the summer, other than the sports games we show I dont get a lot of chances to view TV. I have recently started to watch Fringe and really enjoy it. I have all the Lost shows and am also watching Heroes and I have just D/L Lie to Me season 1. Are there any other series that you folks would reccomend?
JustGav
Criminal Minds is a good one in a similar genre...
Smallshinyant
ou, "Dexter" has been good and if you have not seen it, there are a few seasons to catch up on. "The Mentalist" good fun. "Stargate universe", i think i like it although there has not been enough of them to make up my mind. "V" has just started. Its good, but has the occasional bits of shockingly bad acting. Finally, "Supernatural" if you have not seen any of them really good.

Charlotte
I've been watching an amazing series called Kevin Mcloud's grand tour. Ok it's not a drama series but it's an excellent trip back in history to see how buildings came about. Not sure you'd be able to get it though. AndrewOW
"V" has just started. Its good, but has the occasional bits of shockingly bad acting. Ooh, really? On what channel? I've been watching an amazing series called Kevin Mcloud's grand tour. Ok it's not a drama series but it's an excellent trip back in history to see how buildings came about. Not sure you'd be able to get it though. I've missed that too. What the heck am I doing to miss some of these?! "Defying Gravity" was good, well until they cancelled it after 13 episodes. "FlashForward" is ok too. "Bones" is good fun.
CJ
Some good ideas here. I like the occasional "different" show so may give that a look young lady.

johnny g
ou, "V" has just started. Its good, but has the occasional bits of shockingly bad acting. Ooh, really? On what channel? ABC in the states, available for download from your favourite Newsgroup or Torrent site. Laura Vandevoort is well worth losing a tissue over. I'd go with House, Monk, Dexter and Flashforward - as well as V. Speaking of V, it's gone to mid-season break, returning in March after t'Olympics. TooColdToDrive
Dollhouse isn't bad - if you can stomach the first 6 episodes of season 1. Currently in season 2, but it doesn't look like it will get a third season.
CJ
how about doing some work? (good to see you still around here mate ) I'm at work now...bar is dead until about 20.00 my time. Don't you know Mcloud is the great impregnator? All women he meets in Grand Designs end up in the family way and I fear his powers are growing beyond his control. RiceRocket
A lot of good recommendations, up to date with 24? How about; The Wire (5 seasons & finished) - Top drama, each season focuses on a different facet of the city of Baltimore. Chuck (2 seasons) - Chuck is an action-comedy about an "average computer-whiz-next-door" who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend now working in the CIA; the message embeds the only remaining copy of the world's greatest spy secrets into Chuck's brain. Damages (2 seasons)- The series revolves around the brilliant yet ruthless lawyer Patty Hewes (Glenn Close), her protégée Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne) and the law firm Hewes runs in New York City. The debut season finds Hewes attempting to win a class-action lawsuit against the former CEO of a corporation (Ted Danson) on behalf of his former workers. My Name Is Earl (4 seasons & cancelled)- comedy about a petty crook with occasional run-ins with the law, whose newly won $100,000 lottery ticket is lost when he is hit by a car, he develops a belief in the Americanized concept of karmic retribution when he hears about karma and decides he wants to turn his life around, and so makes a list of every bad thing he's ever done in an attempt to correct them, as he believes that this is the only way he can gain positive karma. Reaper (2 seasons & cancelled) - comedy-drama about Sam Oliver, a Reaper who works for the Devil by retrieving souls that have escaped from Hell. Mentioned purely just because of "Sock" Sarah Connor Chronicles (2 seasons & cancelled) - is an American science fiction series, a spin-off from the Terminator series of films. It revolves around the lives of the fictional characters Sarah and John Connor, following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Torchwood: Children Of Earth (5hrs) The Lost Room ( Firefly (1 season & cancelled ) - is an American space western Ok, watch all of that and we'll see you in a few years time
