michael
What anti-virus do you have installed?
Meko
doesn't look like any AV from the picture (no icons in the system tray) If it was IE i'd say to try disabling any add-ons from tools > options. I don't use FF but i'd say to try it anyway.
HadeS
First of all get rid of them bloody toolbars and let me know is it any better.
Meko
although that toolbar comment might answer the AV question - AVG... even though there's no icons in the system tray.
HadeS
For how long have you been running Windows for? Sometimes after a long usage Windows will start to give you all kind of problems.
scotty71
From the version of FF you seem to be running there is a bug issue with revisions rv:1.9.1.3/ 1.9.0.14 see link at mozilla.org here ----> http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/2009/mfsa2009-47.html for more info. When did you last update the brower? and as already asked what virus software are you using. First of all get rid of them bloody toolbars and let me know is it any better. Exactly right, dont you just hate not ticking the NO I dont want to install the toolbar Rob

DamanC
Also disable all the addons (inc surf and search protection by AVG) one by one to see if it sorts the problem. (tools > Addons)

thebluefox
Firefox can have a massive brainfart (technical term) if its trying to run too many toolbars and add-ons, common problem. Glad you've got it sorted
