TT-DEK
is it a wise thing to do? I came across a flooded road on my way to work today, I drove through it ok, but it made me think, at what height would it start to cause a problem, and are there any low level breathers I should be worred about? This is what happened to me last year? there was a bright side though:search: I made "sky news":D & got a new car due to the inside damage:p
AJI
Should easily get a supra through that.....................at 150mph , it should go over like a skipping stone!!! No seriously, where I live I have seen many cars come a cropper on even low level flooding. Just last week I saw two mpvs go through a 20m section of flooded road that was about half wheel height and they both made it 20m further along the road with white smoke bellowing out the exhaust and then came to a standstill. Anything that makes it to quarter wheel height in a sportscar type vehicle I would steer clear of. Its the bow-wave that usually builds up at the front and makes it into engine bays...and its something you can't see (unless you have CCTV on your front bumper). pbryant_knight
Yeah man.......AQUAPLANE I persoanlly would avoid anything more than a spilled glass of water if possible. Even if it made the journey 10 miles longer. That's 10 miles more fun in your Supra and less risk of damage. I once took my old Nissan ZX through a deepish puddle and it croaked the alarm . Thankfully, that was all though.

pbryant_knight
Nah, if it was a Toad, it could have survived underwater for days
Rob
I have driven through two feet of water, with my comapny Director on board, and there were two abandoned cars in the flood already. Made it with no problems using the high revs and bow wave technique. Water was splashing over the bonnet at times.

Aweegin
..do SAFARI make a snorkel for a Supra? Maybe a spare wing fitted with a home made snorkel, gum up everything else with a few tubes of silicone sealant for the tricky 'winter' months...? lol
