Scares the shit out of me:d I drive like my mum in the wet. Not earlier tonight I didnt...crazy weather, crazy drivers too. And one biker who must have a guardian angel....Ive seen some close calls in my time, but this chap was inches from squishness. Saw a bike under a range rover last night in Blandford. Couldn't see how the guy/girl was doing but the paramedics were working on him/her for ages.

You will know the road I was on Tony....A31, Bere Regis to Wimborne, the stretch going past the Drax estate with the really long wall...bad enough in daylight, hellish in the dark and driving rain with nutters who just have to get one more car ahead. Mcgoo
I love it also. I prefer damp to full on wet though, much more predictable. I have been known to voluntarily pop to the shop (the long way) when there is a sprinkle in the air.
DSK
Obviously you have to be more careful but the advantage of this is that you start really concentrating and working with the car especially when pressing on. IMO you always get better in adverse conditions.

Yeah I know it. There's always accidents along there even in good weather. Some people don't seem to put much value on their lives. As you say risking life and limb just to cut a few minutes off of their journey.
GazB
The feeling of wheel spin in 3rd when going in a straight line sure makes you concentrate When out in the wet i can't resist turning boost up and flooring it through the gears until i then think about stopping You know that anybody following must wonder what the hell is happening when the car is shaking its arse from side to side looking for grip and accelerating at a good rate of knots

After such antics they always stay so far back that you have to squint at your rear view mirror to try and guess which car it is.

AndrewOW
I don't mind driving in any weather conditions really, as I drive as the conditions allow. It's the other road users I worry about though!
DanStwo
I dont know about you guys but from observing other drivers on the road 99% of people can't drive competently anyway... I think in the wet this bumps the figure up to 99.9% You just have to shake your head at the way some people drive, I still cant believe you get white van man up your chuff when its a torrential downpour.... As above I think you learn a lot about the car in wet conditions and sometimes it can be fun when there is no one else nearby
Homer
It all depends on the traffic and the road. Motorways are not much fun in wet weather, but B and side roads are an absolute blast! If there's no other cars about it really gives a chance to test your driving skills and have a great time with it too. Used to love taking my car out in the winter nights and giving it a thrashing around the unused roads. It's fun and scary at the same time

Jake
Not earlier tonight I didnt...crazy weather, crazy drivers too. Indeed. Roads that I'm happy to do >NSL on usually, were 40mph max on the way home from work tonight. Not being able to see the road ahead at all beyond the reach of Dipped Beam makes safe driving at speed impossible at the mo.
pbryant_knight
I try and leave the supra on the drive in wet weather, it's perfect for my escort though So your casual hooker likes driving in the wet I personally hate driving in the wet. Several reasons, Although i trust my own driving ability, Others on the road are just arseholes. A few year back i once had a corsa try to race me in the wet with my Honda Prelude. He proceeded to undertake me then pull back in front of me?!? He span out and crashed into a side barrier. Instead of stoping i just laughed my ass off (he didn't flip over or anything, just damaged the front of his car) Another reason is that there are always a lot of accidents and therefore lots of traffic jams Go to work in the morning thinking how long will it take me today Peter
nigelboyne
1.4 bar in anything but bone dry and arse just keeps steping out spins the wheels up to 4th gear. single turbo guys driving the supra as a main car demand some respect
RobD
Not keen on it at all! I keep thinking i'm going to spank my car as its the 1st rwd car i've had it scares me in the dry sometimes! When its snowing i'll be walking to work! Its worth it if it keeps my car in its current shape!
