CJ
I made a suggestion last year to stop posts in non-technical areas counting towards postcount, this could help reduce the amount of cr*p posted, works to some extent on other forums. Do you think that is the case? That people post just to get their post count up?

marbleapple
Do you think that is the case? That people post just to get their post count up? I post on here because I like the people and the information. I owned a Supra until a few weeks ago but my technical knowledge was not sufficent enough to post in the technical thread (unless it was for help). I see post count as a suggestion as to how estabilshed a person is on a forum. I suspect a person with 10k posts will be much more reliable with their advice or information than a person with 10 posts. Not always true but a good indicator. I don't post for a post count. I don't care about it in the slightest. Oh and it isnt going down hill.
