The mkiv Supra Owners Club

I know it's a car forum, but it's like a one stop shop..

I absolutely love this forum for the above reason. Anyone disagree and feel that it's "going down hill" as a result??

I feel that I can ask just about anything on this forum and usually get the same answer that I would get on a specialised site. I am a member of a couple of other forums but I generally don't bother with much unless I want to talk about something totally specific.

Clearly this way of thinking has it's good points and bad points. For me it is a really strong good characteristic of this forum and the reason I frequent so often.

It's been apparently 'going downhill' since I've been a member... but strangely enough it doesn't seem to get any worse.

What does that tell you, at least I know I'm not to blame :D

Just thinking out loud again. A lot of the members, and even some of the Mod's, continue to frequent the forum Supra-less. I'm guessing the main reason is the sense of community on this forum. It's made for car owners but people are just people at the end of the day.

Totally agree with you mate, I feel the same about this forum.

The amount of people you have helped as well recently with IT problems!

Bet they got an answer quicker on here then phoning PC World or even on a IT Forum!

I think we just got a great diverse bunch of people on here :)

More chance of getting help from me regarding a PC than there is with a car lol.

The knowledge base on this forum is the only reason I stick around.

Well, that and people like Tannhauser, Ewen, Mike, LBM and a few others.

Well, that, them and the chance to rip the p*ss out of some really very stupid people and/or wind up some very smart people too.

Best £30 ever IMO. You just got to remember not to take it too seriously.

To be honest, of late it has a chavtastic feeling to it. Depends which side of the fence you sit on as to whether you think it is going down hill, up hill or whatever.

It is evident to me though, that certain people just love to be seen and heard for the sake of it.

All you have to do is look at some of the club spirt threads to see what this club is all about. From donating to help someones kid, to someone giving parts to help another persons car to be fixed.

Regardless of a few people this is the best club ive ever been in.

If you drew a graph, with the Y axis representing the good and bad points (I'd suggest zero as the datum, bad points ranging from -1 to -5, good points ranging from +1 to +5) and the X axis representing time elapsed, then drew a trend line through the results over the years, the line would be going uphill.

That would be my graph, other members trend lines may have a different slant.

I can see you have put a lot of thought into that :D

And thats the reason why I like this forum as a simple questions gets a mathematical answer lol

There does seem to have been a few chavs join of late but they are enthusiastic and as long as the mods give them the odd kick to keep them in line alls ok, they can be amusing at times:D
