tooquicktostop
Every time I have gone to an ICE place for a recommendation with a tight budget Alpine always comes up first, they make some excellent head units

Scott
£200 will get you an all in one ebay cheapie. Does everything OK but not great. Other than that I would just go for a single din.
gordy07
Mostly just for cds and radio i didnt think you could get a decent TV DVD player at that price

hodge
Have a look at a JVC avx-810. They will do everything you could need. Including iPod ready etc. I had 1 in my blue supra and was an awesome bit of kit. I've just got the newer model for my new supra avx-820. Honestly you won't be disopointed. DSK
IMO its a false economy to get the TV/DVD units that are economy brands at this price. For something decent here you need to be looking at something along the lines of the following as a minimum; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pioneer-AVH-P3100DVD-AVH-P-3100-DVD/dp/B001TDKIWW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1259446210&sr=8-1 The Clarion (decent brand) linked above looks good. I can also give a thumbs up for the Alpine units and yes, if you just want a CD/Radio style head unit you will get a lovely piece of kit for £200 from such leading brands. The pioneer looks nice but a bit price,i dont want to put monet towards it because then she will feel that she hasnt really bought me it. The clarion does look good and i am pleased that a decent stereo can be bought for this price range:)

DSK
http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/ May be worth a look, these folks have served me well, have branches scattered about and did me these http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-in-phase-xtc42-xtc62_p-21424.htm at £135 in store. Scott
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/10883.html Any good? Unfortunately it will be about a tenner over budget by the time delivery goes on top. You should be allowed to add that though, afterall she would be buying the stereo... your just paying for the postage

JamesC
I always thought these Pioneer ones looked alright, and well within budget too. No idea about the sound quality of them though: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/08-Series-New-Pioneer-FH-P6050UB-Double-Din-Car-Stereo_W0QQitemZ180432604512QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_In_Car_Audio_Players_PP?hash=item2a029f0d60
