Branners
I think they are looking forward to some sort of festival that comes along about a month later. If the question was why do they put them up in October then I could understand, but with just under a month to go it's fair enough to put them up. jevansio
Congratulations for being the first person on my ignore list, this is the sort of question that I refrain from asking one of my mates when we have both been sitting in a pub staring at our pints for 3 hours without uttering a word

It is now illegal to put up your decs before the first of December. Mrs H had the idea of putting our tree up tonight..... After a brief act of domestic violence she agreed that we can wait till Tuesday..... H.

ozz
Sticking decorations up this early seems crazy to me as well, tho I must admit I don't actually put them up at all. Miserable b*gger me!
Scott
I remember being a nipper at this time of year. As soon as I seen anyone else with their decorations up I would pester my Mum till we got ours up. Saying that I wouldn't win before the 1st of December lol. I totally understand, especially this year, why families have their decorations up early. I'm a bah humbug type of guy personally, that doesn't mean I can't see the reasoning though. Tricky-Ricky
Must admit personally i wouldn't bother, the wife will bung a few up and a small tree, to me Christmas is for young kids, and since my daughter is 23, and no grand kids yet, guess things will change when gets around to it though;)

AndyT
Some great quotes going on here. I'm a bit of a traditionalist, but a little extra decoration time is never bad for the kids / us.
S44M KT
What is the deal with people who put there christmas decorations up in november? What is the deal with posting a question like that knowing full well people on here already have their decs up? You make out like its a bad thing and that those who have their decs up are nuts or something... You've already offended alot of people on this forum in the last few days and you clearly haven't learned your lesson as you have now offended me. As said in this thread already... some people have had a really shitty year so far, and are looking forward to a bit of "xmas cheer". Think before you start typing ffs!
