Steve Cargill
There is a difference between bite, control and overall stopping power. They J spec brakes arn't that good at all three but I'd also say they arn't too bad. Lots of people have had good results with CW pads. A fluid change may well help as that could be old and tired. Most people who've upgraded to UK brakes have gone from a 9 yr old system to new disks, calipers, hoses and fluid. That must be taken into account. Tyres also make a big difference. With both my J spec and UK spec brakes my ABS would come in quite a bit; now I'vr got F1's on the front it hardly ever comes in when dry and occasionally when wet. The g-tech pro meter I've got does 60-0MPH in feet, If I ever make it along to a non-carpark meet I'll bring it and we can play.
Terminator
I found braking in normal conditions ie 70leps and below. the Jap brakes were fine. It was repeated heavy braking or trying to stop from 130leps plus, in a limited space that caused the most stress or - "softening of the stools"- ( Chris R) I know that I killed mine on the track, as the brakes were in really good nick when I got the car hardly used. But after a day at Bentwaters in a totally stock car, the discs warped and I got a terrible judder when stopping hard from over 100 leps
Syed Shah
I have fitted UK-spec brakes to my NA in the last few days, and it is a HUGE difference, the brakes are 10x better! I had them all changed, not just the fronts. This is just on an NA, if you have a modded TT with j-spec brakes, you must be mad!
Need4Speed
Well I'm glad someone agrees with me

Matt Harwood
I upgraded to UK front about 6 months before doing the rears. No problems at all. Fitting the fronts only takes about 2 or 3 hours. HUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEE difference Go on Mark, you know you want to...
