caseys
Well there's a lot of people on here I'm assuming clean their cars regularly, as well as themselves. But do you make sure your computer is clean? Some of these look like they've been working in a sawmill, or probably worse. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/11/13/ventblockers/ Mmmm... Go on, open your PC over the weekend and check it out

Chris Wilson
What's wrong with those, they look quite new to me. As for my car... At least I don't get asked to give lifts, except in dire emergencies
stevie_b
You could write "I wish my wife was this dirty" in all that dust!
caseys
What's wrong with those, they look quite new to me. As for my car... At least I don't get asked to give lifts, except in dire emergencies See that confuses me Chris, what with your eye for engineering and merticulous detail in your craft. A friend's flatbed truck is like this, you open the door and twelve burger boxes fall out the cab. I swear there's a mouse in there too. Chris Wilson
A road car is just transport to me, if it's old enough, dirty enough (and yes, it really has got some mouse droppings in it, I swear), then it is unlikely to get nicked, vandalised or have untoward attention paid to it! Mechanically it's fairly sound, although the list of things to fix that's tossed in the passenger foot well hasn't been amended as assiduously as it might have been in recent months. Marco
That's a dirty PC! I've got 2 air filters in front of my case, I clean those now and then, hardly any dust goes gets in the case itself
DamanC
And to caseys. Yes I must give mine a vacuum. You must not use a vacuum. Use compressed air instead
Angarak
You usually see that kind of contamination if the the PC is located close to the ground or on the floor (carpeted floors are usually the worst). You can safely vac them if you are careful to 'hover' a crevice tool above the components (you're arse is not a suitable crevice tool!), if you opt for an air duster make sure the PC is cold (ie: first thing in the morning before you power it on) as air dusters generally produce an ice cold jet of air (sometimes liquid) which doesnt go down too well with heated components, not to mention that air dusters just blow the dust into the air...where it will later settle everywhere else! Scott
I don't get it? What's wrong with that? So it's dirty. Dust is like insulation. It generates a lot of heat in the components so eventually
