Branners
fuel economy is the forbidden word! not at 115p per litre it isnt. Try filling up a UK spec with its 80litre tank and see how much fun that is!!
Suprash
I'm sure there were some plots somewhere (from Chris Wilson?) that showed you gain absolutely nothing from TTC, it just feels different (some say better, some don't). Interesting, I was always under the impression there was a better torque curve in TTC mode, Im sure back in the day we wouldnt have based this just on how it felt, sure someone had a printout or something lol...... I found that TTC on a UK spec 6sp made it a better drive. The heavier turbos seem to respond better. Really gave the car some oompf. They did feel heavier yes, thats what I liked, made everything feel twice as solid, but Im not sure what TTC would do to an engine long term with the lean spot. Ahem: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35926 I think you'll find that article showed up markedly earlier, the max-boost one showed up soon after johna joined this site. Much like a few other articles on that site. The wonders of copy and paste, eh? -Ian PS "I rely on the goodwill of other enthusiasts to use their decency and judgement when copying, linking or reusing any material." oh sweet irony. Half my FAQs are on that site. Edited November 29, 2009 by Ian C (see edit history)
