SupraStar 3000
Getting exciting now Just need to decide what parts are going black and a few other details. Considering what to do with the gap on the inner front arch above the skirt. The OEM skirts have a little arch lip that the doluck skirts do not, which leaves a rather odd looking dip. Anyone have any suggestions. I know ukRich solved this but I cant remember how.
EdMorris
Can the gap not be filled in somehow? Surely the bodyshop could come up with a solution? Looking good Ed, be nice to see pics with the refurbed wheels on.
JamieP
Why not just trim the bottom off the stock trim and put it back?
jazz1
Ed i told you its a simple fix you just need to get the stock front inner wing trims and paint them white. If you dont want that then the only other option with those skirts is the 25mm wider front wings which will solve that

Looking good Ed, be nice to see pics with the refurbed wheels on. Cheers mate, Thats exactly what the bodyshop are going to do. Fiberglass the arches smooth. As for the wheels, I've sold the Hikari's that I had reburbed and will be using my old Racinghearts C4Rs from my old car or Kosie Snippers until I can afford the 19" Varianza T1S. Why not just trim the bottom off the stock trim and put it back? I think thats the plan Jamie. With some additional fibreglass too Ed i told you its a simple fix you just need to get the stock front inner wing trims and paint them white. If you dont want that then the only other option with those skirts is the 25mm wider front wings which will solve that Haven't got any spare OEM skirts to chop mate otherwise I'd have done that
JamieP
When is the new wheels here Edd? i would test fit them before finishng the bodywork, i have a feeling you will have to roll the arches loads and that might crack the paint.
SupraStar 3000
8 - 12 weeks at the earliest mate I agree, Makes sense to fit the wheels first,.. but with that time scale I just want to get the car back, even if its on my old wheels. jazz1
Lol ed what are you on chop oem skirts lol? You can buy the trims brand new from Toyota for 100 pounds they cover that gap lol your funny
MarkR
Why don't you roll the arches first? May as well while you're there.
evinX
back to the trim, if your just going to cut the original plastic one, and blend it to the skirt, i wouldnt recommend it, fibreglass and plastic dont go well together;)

SupraStar 3000
*** time for an quick update. *** The car is really starting to come together now and the regular pictures from Jurgen are very welcome and pleasing. Its all getting very exciting now That annoying lip over the front wheel arches is now covered with the trim and filler. Much better me thinks Decided to go with the black front blade and canards on the front bumper and black section down the skirt Although at first I wasn't sure wether to just paint the complete bumper white, i'm now pleased i went with the black sections as i think it looks pretty cool. some other pics:
