Matt H
So what if it doesn't 'buffet' the face £199.99 is a lot of $$$ for a fookin fan So true, it's still a bloody fan!
creative
yep thats the one. ever tried to figure out how the air is so powerful? ive looked but cant find an inlet?? its a very simple idea. the air is drawn in from the body of the fan and is pushed out through little holes on the inside of the big ring. due to the shape of the inner edge it speeds the air up. It uses the principles of an aircraft wing of reducing air pressure etc etc. good but not $200 good! lol
S44M KT
My immediate response after reading this and seeing the picture is "WTF!" which i actually said out loud only for the other half to piss himself laughing. I really dont understand how that is meant to be a fan! But if it works then fantastic. I'll take two!
Abz
It does work & it works very well. What Mr Dyson has done here is take a simple idea... made it look good, stamped his name on it & give it top notch price tag. Those with a bit of extra cash will get one, or like myself who loves gadgets will be wanting one as a present . His a clever man & the best bit is he does a lot of the work himself, as mentioned above its a shame we had to force him out of the country though. Rob
It disappears into a time vortex. Seriously, are fans dangerous? All the electric fans I've ever seen have been encased in a wire cage, plus anyone that sticks their fingers into a moving blade deserves all they get. The only benefit I can see with the Dyson one is that it is very easy to dust, which most fans are not.

Ahhh, never saw any of that, but then I don't come on so much now, what with it going downhill and being full of chavs etc etc.
Abz
This is more of a gadget design rather than a replacement for a standard fan. Conventional fans will be much more better, though this "does the job" but looks very sexy at the same time!
Rob
I thought it was supposed to be a more efficient way to move air, thus saving electricity use. I'd have thought £50 tops would be the right price, but £200 is ridiculous.
