Thorin
GiffGaff http://giffgaff.com/ Yeah stupid name but looks cheap and some interesting ideas... Why give giffgaff a go? We've got lots of benefits for our giffgaff members to feel good about: * Cheaper prices than the top 4 mobile networks for UK calls and texts. Ours are 8p /min and 4p /txt. * FREE giffgaff to giffgaff calls and texts for 3 months when you top-up. * FREE UK web browsing on your handset for up to 6 months from launch. * Earn limitless hard cash for your involvement, by bringing members to the network and answering questions from the community. * There's no long-term contracts and you can use any existing 'unlocked' handset. * giffgaff uses the O2 network, so our coverage is good. Check coverage in your area, here. * We're new, we've got pixels, and we're a little bit different. I believe if you mention my username on there (which is raithmir ), when either signing up or ordering a SIM card, then I get some bonus credit. supra_aero
Seem good on paper, but benefits are heavily skewed to initial registration months. After 6 months it seems to be like any other provider.
Thorin
Seem good on paper, but benefits are heavily skewed to initial registration months. After 6 months it seems to be like any other provider. You lucky giffgaff pioneers can even enjoy free UK web browsing on your handset for up to 6 months from launch. But we will charge for it at some point and we're keen to hear what you think would be a good price. So you'll get free data usage for a few months, but they'll start charging you for it after that. Calls and texts will still be cheaper than the other providers and it sounds like data usage will still probably be cheaper too.
