CJ
I recently had some work done on my PC which meant that Windows XP had to be reinstalled. All is OK other than my USB keyboard has now decided it isn't a good, old fashioned English version but instead has gone into "Greek" mode by doing things like not showing " when pressing the up arrow plus 2 key but instead giving me @. It also now gives me # instead of the pound sign. I have looked in control panel - keyboard settings but found nothing to change there. i also looked in control panel - regional settings and things look OK there too. Might it be that he used a Greek version of XP as opposed to my own version?

Meko
Like Daman said.... they've left it in US English rather than UK English.
merckx
Control Panel > Reginal and Language options > Languages > Details I think that's where the problem will be, it gets me every time and it always takes me ages to figure out what I did the previous time to fix it. CJ
Control Panel > Reginal and Language options > Languages > Details Look ok in there? Well bugger me (that was an exclamation rather than an invitation), you are correct. I had in fact looked there and it said that UK English was in use but i deleted the US version anyway and voila - perfect. Many thanks for all the replies.
