descided the exhaust is too loud as it used to drone inside the car on the motorway.So ive made a bung based on the nurspec type.It has definately made the exhaust quiter but not sure how much until i get to drive it.

 

first i cut a 5" disc then a flat strip to weld around the side,next i cut a 2.5" hole in the middle and welded in the 2.5" pipe.I have changed the fitment from whats in the pic,the bung now sits further back in the tail pipe.

I hope that's just temporary mate, those bungs have a serious impact on the cars performance and can cause nightmare EGT's (though probably less so on a SC car). A secondary silencer welded in would be a far better choice and shouldn't compromise the flow so badly.

 

Did you get it to AFR on Wednesday?

i want the bung in incase afr say its too loud for mot purposes.There are people running with them in their nurspec r with no problems.ive already put a resinator in the system.

just getting a fiew little things done today so theres no snags for wednesdays trip to afr.

filled up with red coolant,toped up the oil and power steering fluids.tried to get the boost and oil temp gauge working but sadly they are still not working.going to need another switch for the fans aswell.
