nitro buggy not running right

just fitted a knew tank in the boys thunder tiger eb4.damn thing will not run.will only start with the throttle wide open ease back n it cuts out then will not start again.my arm is now aching and i feel thike stamping on the thing.any nitro car wizz kids on here have suggestions.id rather be under my own bonnet on the supra than this thing

LOL :) and the fuel is not old ? is it an old engine it might be that the conmpression is bad, try to unscrew the fuel screw unclockwise a bit one turn or so and try again, if you notice to much fuel then screm clockwise,

 

if you get it running , run it warm then rev it full and screw the fuel screw clockwise until you get max RPMs then turn it back a half turn

Did it work before you fitted the new tank? If so then I would imagine it's a fuel issue.

Take the fuel tube of the exhaust and blow through it until the fuel enters the carb, Providing there is no blockage. Then I would open the main needle an 1/8th of a turn and try it, then if not another 1/8th of a turn.

When the throttle is closed have you got the correct gap in the carb?

They are lots of fun, I just get fed up with the constant adjustments. I tend to use my petrol/electric models more than the nitro ones for easyness, but still enjoy the nitro's when they come out. My fusion 28 is interesting not that I have every managed to get it to the claimed 100mph, I will continue to try.
