Looking for a supra!

Hi Guys.

I'm new to the forum but thinking about getting a supra.

I currently have an mr2 turbo, but thinking of trading in, just starting with an n/a i think, either way has to be manual!

Do you think the acceleration of the manual supra will compare to the mr2?

Anyway, if anyone knows of or is selling a supra and fancies a trade with a clean mr2, then give me a shout!

Regards,

Andy

Welcome

An MR2 Turbo will out accelerate most (if not all) NAs. You need a TT. Don't be put off by the auto, it's a fantastic box. However, there's a reason the 6 speed TT commands a premium.

Good luck with the search, quite a few ex-MR2 tubby owners on here - me included. :)

thanks for the replies.

My mr2 is a fairly stock rev2.

To be clear, i'm not looking for something that will 'beat' the mr2, i just want something that is at least fairly close. Outright acceleration is not imperative, but i want to be able to keep up with my mates in their silva, elise, m3 etc.

The mr2 does fine with this job, even if the supra was slightly slower, as long as there's not too much in it then thats fine!

As for a turbo supra, i simply can't afford!

As for manual, it's manual or nothing, i'm not a huge fan of autos, plus i like a clutch, can't heel and toe without one! :op
