just replacing my alternator after 2days of having the car this one went pop :( gutted , anyway ive got a new one now and i am trying to get the alternator out of the car, ive took the 2 electriacl cables off it and the top bolt, now i have taken the bottom nut off and i am trying to get it off the threaded type spindle, it seems like there is something coming off the aircon and is on the same spindle, and that is in the way of me moving the alternator forward to remove it from the car ??? any ideas

i am having some problems with this alternator, ive never done a job like this before so i might be missing something while fitting it, but it looks like the pulley off the old alternator isnt fitting on the one i bought, its as if when tightening the nut that holds the pulley on it jams the pulley between the nut and the body of the alternator and wont allow it to spin, any ideas ? also if i am right this is an alternator off a TT6 and mine is an N/A auto the alternator loks the same and looks like there wont be a problem fitting it the only problem is this 22mm nut :(
