American grunt, lovely. Keep it stock (ish), please. :)

Needs a few changes while keeping the original looks

I am having the work done this week

Brakes are typical American stock, they are terrible and will need an upgrade, this along with suspension set up before I add any more power

Stereo change as the original is broken and poor quality when working

Get ALL electrics working, I hate it when stuff does not work

Full decat, have to hear that V8 rumble

New weather seals all round, stock are perished

New wheels as I need something a bit lighter for town driving

Supercharger is a challenge as it does not fit so well on the C4, it can be done but its expensive, just need to work out of it is easier to just buy a C5

:)

I prefer the more modern Corvettes, but this is a well kept example :)

Monsween will no doubt chime in soon! He's after a C3 I believe :)

It acctually came from aberdeen this car as the previous owner just got his hands on a supra and monsween and i had a chat about the car, he's rosscod22 on here. ;)

Thats alot of work for a week. Hope you told them they wont be getting paid if its not ready??

Will have to wait and see, but its always good to set deadlines as I have learnt in the past, if you dont it can get pushed to the corner of the workshop and forgotten about !

The challenge is parts on this car really, I want to keep it as original as I can, that is the goal

Who's doing it Dean? Did you find a specialist? How are you finding getting parts.

Bit of a story Dave but I did someone a big favour at work with their business, he runs a car valet/insurance/repair centre and he is paying for it to be done (to a point :D)

You sounded sooooooo busy from your message and I can never wait :D

Of course Dave, happy to bring it over when done, my thoughts on this car have changed a little over the last day or so, the guy doing the work is a Roush mechanic and he has convinced me that this car should be returned to its former stock glory and not become a modded mess (his words), I tend to agree, so it is a project to restore the original looks and keep it stock

I may look to get a C5 that is already supercharged as the toy

Well its been around 3 months since this Vette went away for work, it came back today and is looking very nice indeed, it has had the following work, pics to follow when the wheels go back on

Full major service including all belts and fluids

Respray of front and rear

New Window motor in drivers side with was seized due to water ingress

New seat motor

New stainless steel exhaust with twin tailpipes

Full wheel refurb of original wheels in silver with polished lip

Full set of directional tyres (US fitment specific)

Full Mop and Valet

New badges

New American sized number plates

Chip repair in windscreen

Under body protection added

Brake refurb on front calipers

Head unit fixed but keep stock to maintain the originality

New floor mats

I am very pleased with the results all be it the parts have been a bit tricky to get hold of for a reasonable price, I will take some new pics when the wheels go on tomorrow
