Havard
Is it just me but does anyone else notice that very few blokes visit public toilets and actually wash their hands?? I have been disgusted of late, but it's always been one of my pet hates. Mrs H and I went to the cinema last week and I went for a slash, there were 5 blokes in the bogs and I was the only one who went to the sinks afterwards..... These people then go into the cinema and share popcorn with their wife, girlfiend, date etc.....WTF?? Last night prompted this thread after I took the boys to McDonalds. They are 6 and 2 and always wash their hands if not they are told to do so. There was a bloke in the toilets having a wazz and he zipped himself up and just walked out the door past us. He then goes on to man handle his food...FFS. My best one ever though was at Blackpool Pleasure Beach a few years ago. Bloke took a piss, missed out the sinks and soap and went straight to the hand dryer.... So, are you a washer, a walker or a w*nker?? H. I just don't understand it. Are the ignorant, lazy or both? H.
michael
The problem is you wash your own hands and then have to touch the same piss-covered door handle that they have used to leave.
ozz
A lot of washrooms have manual traps, so you have to touch them to switch them on, you touch them again to switch them off potentially transferring waste back.

dangerous brain
The problem is you wash your own hands and then have to touch the same piss-covered door handle that they have used to leave. Precisely!!! I'll wash my hands after taking a dump but after a wazz as I tend not to spray all over my hands I won't bother as I may pick up more germs from the door handle than I wash off. Incidentally if you have a rummage around the old nads do you immediately go and wash your hands? Also if you drink from the furry cup do you despatch the lady with a douche prior to diving? TopgunTT
This is exactly what i said to the wife yesterday, It seems to be more of the senior person that doesn't do it. I must of been waiting nearly 20 mins yesterday for someone to open the door from the other side so i wouldn't have to touch someone else's germs

Guigsy
i always wash up after. its just habit. plenty of places in the states particuly theme parks and things you walk in past the walls that obscure the view of people pissing. take a piss. walk away. it flushes its self. you put your hand under the soap thing and it gives you some. hand under the tap - it turns on. when your done you put your hand under the dryer. it drys your hand. you then walk out. the only thing you touch is your big fella
Max Headroom
I absolutely hate touching the handles on the doors to public toilets, I always tug my sleeve down over my hand to open it. I now carry that waterless handwash just to make sure. My other worry is the keypads to the card readers they have on the tills. All those germs!! Great thread "H", & nice to be back:d Seriously though, our minds must think alike? I as you know work in the food industry, calling on every kind of food manufacturer you can think off & wear all kinds of protective garments whilst in these factories. Not washing hands before commencing work in these places will be in most cases a major disciplinary, or even the sack, if caught not washing hands & sanitising them. Some companies now have wash stations with cameras in watching for these individuals:eyebrows: Your story above is mild to some things Ive seen in some factories:( Ive seen guys walk out of cubicles (traps) & go straight back to the work place & manhandle food stuffs!!!!! I should have reported this, but never:taped: Tip for you!!! Never have the free nuts & crisps on show in the bars, as these are the dishes most at risk of bacterias, this is proven
Lbm
Even turning the tap off after you've washed your hands probably isn't that hygenic and then the already mentioned issue of the door handle. I just think a lot of blokes simply like to wash their hands - in their own p!ss.
Guigsy
urine is a sterile liquid anyway
TonyP
Must admit I'm a walker (and a w@nker:d) Surely if out of 5 blokes you were the only one to wash your hands that makes you the weirdo odd one out.

stevie_b
I agree with you H, it's disgusting and unnecessary not to wash. Not washing for fear of touching the taps seems anti-social to me. If everyone washed, then there would be much less of an issue touching the taps, door handles etc in the first place. Pee might be sterile, but that's not the point. It's more about hygiene not disease. No-one would want to touch your fish-fingers knowingly. There are lots of substances out there that wouldn't make you ill if consumed, but you still wouldn't want to consume them (unless you're into things like scat )
