j80leo
Has anyone had first hand experience from doing this on a auto? Have you had any problems with gear changes or any other problems, I know it can be done on a 6 speed but an auto people say not to do it?
paul mac
it is very straight forward to imobilise the butterfly just unplug the track ecu located next to the main ecu in the passenger footwell, see what you think, i never did this at bpu level as i never felt the need however when i fitted a boostlogic auto it really messed up the changes with the butterfly in so it had to go, removing the butterfly will undoubtedly result in slightly harsher gear changes and as Mr T put it there for a reason to protect the box at WOT gear changes will almost certainly shorten the life of the box, how much by seems variable
