Prof. Monkey
Hi guys, just been reading the thread and replies, just a thought for you: I have done many callipers in my time and I hate paying through the nose, so I found this tip, from a Honda Prelude Owners club forum, Use a basic grey zinc primer (zinc is a sacrificial metal and will stop the calliper rusting), prep first with a wire brush, various grades of wet and dry and as people use, some brake cleaner to remove any dust. Next, paint a nice smooth coat of the primer and allow to dry, here is the best bit: Get a tin of Humbrol Enamel paint and use that as the overcoat! One small tinlet, shoud do all the callipers. Ok prep and painting takes a little longer but the results are excellent for a net outlay of a £5 (not taking into account brushes). What better way of spending quality time with your pride and joy on a warm afternoon!
