mellonman
not balancing, its more than a shake in the stearing will its more like i was turning steering wheel side to side so maybe not a wobble more like a swerving up the road tyre preasure all 35psi, i have fitted new discs but will check the discs when i drive home today. Need4Speed
Check subframe bolts and all suspension bushes at the front.
Tricky-Ricky
Who did the alignment?
Missile
Is there any chance the four wheel alignment you have had done is the cause. Not for one second saying this could be. But a friend of mine took his supra to a local garage local to me. The handling after was terrible. He took it to a dedicated wheel ,tyre, exhaust and alignment specialist rather than just a garage and all was good.

Exactly why i asked my question;) sounds like the toe is set badly by his description.
Missile
I spent so long typing that up that when i pressed post, Your post had arrived. We both asked pretty much the same question, Except mine is long winded and yours nice and simple.
Need4Speed
I would expect poor alignment to cause directional vagueness but not a wobble or weave. Yes, double checking the toe-in settings is a good idea but check for loose suspension mountings or worn bushes etc. as well as the subframe bolts. Does it appear to be steering from the back at all? miko_supra
What size wheels you got and what suspension set up?
AndyT
What size wheels you got and what suspension set up? Yep. Big wheel tramlining can cause this too. I'm inclined to dodgy alignment though. Get that checked by Wheels in Motion or Centre of Gravity.
mellonman
it does seem to have rear steer but the alinement done by mitsubishi engineer and i was there watching him do it and had the print out, i did check the sub frame bolts already but will check again, giving it to a mackanic friend to night to have a go in and see what he finds or the search will contine
mellonman
right i have now sorted it! it was a rear wheel bearing collapsed and the wheel had about 20mm play but only when hand brake was off.
